Orthodox Cranberry: An Outreach of St. Anthony Orthodox Church
In the Fall of 2015, with the blessing of Bishop Thomas, our parish began a missionary and pastoral outreach into Cranberry. The area is thought to have great potential due to the presence in the area of a good number of Orthodox (practicing or “dormant” is another matter) and the absence of an Orthodox church within a radius of 5-10 miles.
We started with weekly meetings for Bible Study/ Intro to Orthodoxy in the Cranberry Municipal Center. In May of 2016 we started offering Sunday Liturgy at the OCA pavilion (thanks to Archbishop Melchisesek’s generous help for our group). Finally, we now have a stable "home" at the old St. Kilian's Church located at 205 Clark Street, Mars, PA.
